Trident Books, 1997Ars Notoria is well-known as being the fifth book of The Lesser Key of Solomon. Based on of the original 1657 Robert Turner translation. Several of the original dedications from the original edition preface the book. This edition of Ars Notoria includes the original appendix to the work, An Astrological Cathechism along with two other appendices, Solomon and The Ars Notoria by Lynn Thorndike, which gives an excellent history and background of the book, and The Ars Notoria in Manuscript, a bibliography of manuscripts compiled by the noted British occult Adam McLean.
This is a hand-sewn hardback, bound with black leather, with the title stamped in 22k Gold on the front and spine. French marble endpapers were used and the book was bound with two bookmark ribbons. This edition limited to 500 copies. Specifications: 7 1/8 in. x 4 1/4 in., xiv + 115 pgs.
